The Edinburgh Women in Philosophy Group is proud to announce its fifth annual Spring Workshop on Ignorance and Underrepresentation on Tuesday the 10th of March 2015 at the University of Edinburgh. We will be learning form Janet Kourany about the social construction of ignorance via a masterclass in the morning, followed up by four talks on the general theme of ignorance and underrepresentation by an interdisciplinary panel of philosophers and sociologists of science. Each talk will be followed by a response from a postgraduate student.

We invite postgraduate students to submit expressions of interest to respond to the speakers’ talks. To express your interests, simply submit a short statement (max. 300 words) detailing your motivation to do so to the following address:
